We want every visit to be professional, therapeutic and unhurried. Things come up in everyone’s day, so these rules are here to keep the schedule fair for the therapists and for every client after you.

How early should I arrive for my appointment?

Arrive 15 minutes early

Please arrive for your appointment 15 minutes before the scheduled start. That gives new clients time to fill out the client form, and gives everyone time to change and settle in. Every massage has a set time slot, so arriving early keeps the session relaxed and unhurried.

If you are running late

Call the front desk at (925) 722-5888 so we know. To stay on schedule for the next client, your service may be shortened, and the original treatment time is still charged at the regular service price.

Booking and cancelling

A card holds your booking

A credit card is required to reserve every spa appointment.

Under 24 hours: half price

Cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice and you are charged half the price of all the services you booked.

No-show, or under 1 hour: full price

No-shows, appointments cancelled on arrival, and appointments cancelled less than an hour before the start time are charged in full for all services booked.

Your comfort comes first

You set the pressure, the temperature and the music

Your therapist is happy to adjust pressure, temperature and music volume, to work longer on one area or to move on, whenever you ask. Leave on as much clothing as you need to be comfortable.

You can stop at any time

You may refuse any technique, stop the massage whenever you like, and you are free to leave. The treatment room door is never locked.

Always modestly draped

Only the area being massaged is undraped, and you are told which area is next before your therapist begins.

What you say stays private

Conversations between you and your therapist are confidential. Talk during the massage or stay quiet, as you prefer. We would rather not discuss political, private or sexual topics.

Professional boundaries

Areas that are never massaged

The breast and genital area are not massaged under any circumstances. The low back, hip and gluteal area are massaged only with your permission, and can be worked through the draping if you ask.

Sexual requests are not tolerated

A request for sexual activity is treated as solicitation and reported to the proper authorities, and the client is not rescheduled. Sexual interaction or discussion of any kind between client and therapist is never appropriate.

Clients under 18

We do not massage anyone under 18 unless a parent or guardian is in the room and signs the form.

Health and medical notes

Tell your therapist about your health

Keep your therapist informed of any medical treatment you are receiving and of any change in your health. Written permission from your physician, chiropractor or physical therapist may be needed for the massage to continue.

Chemotherapy and radiation

Clients in chemotherapy or radiation therapy need a doctor’s note stating that the doctor is aware of, and agrees to, the treatment you want.
